The Greek Academy is a community Greek school at Grange Park Primary School, Winchmore Hill — teaching Greek language and Cypriot culture from nursery right through to GCSE, every Tuesday evening.
Run by a committee of parents and dedicated teachers, The Greek Academy gives children real progress in Greek — and real pride in where they come from.
A structured curriculum matched to each child's age and ability, following the same standards as other Greek schools in London — from first words in nursery all the way to a GCSE qualification.
Dancing, plays, celebrations and traditions all year round — Christmas and 25th of March performances, and a summer play and BBQ to end the year together.
Assembly and prayers bring the whole school together each week. Add the famous tuck shop at break time, and Tuesday quickly becomes the evening the children look forward to most.
Children join at any age and progress through classes grouped by age and ability. Every class takes a twenty-minute dance lesson as part of the evening, and textbooks and exercise books are provided by the school.

The whole school starts the evening together, led by our head teacher.
Teachers escort each class to their room for the evening's learning — and every class takes a twenty-minute dance lesson too.
Twenty minutes each, staggered: Nursery to Year 3 from 6:20, Year 4 to GCSE from 6:40. Snacks, water and pocket-money treats — often the highlight of the week.
